This easy tour, which is suitable for beginners, also leaves directly from our base in La Paz. You will cross one of the most important sources of income for Tenerife inhabitants, banana plantations.
You will gently ascend approximately 1000 metres to the Acentejo region where you will travel through small villages and large towns known for their rich northern vineyards. At a picnic place in the forest you will stop briefly to refuel with the food you have brought. From there, you will take an uneven path to the Orotava Valley. This region around Las Palomas is interrupted by numerous precipices that allow for views of deep gorges dotted with trees and crags. This is probably one of the most beautiful trails on the island’s northern side. When you reach the eastern side of the valley, you will return to civilisation and follow the traces of Alexander von Humboldt to enjoy a fantastic view of the entire Orotava Valley below. A brief visit to Bollulo Beach rounds off this lovely tour.
